MANUAL THERAPY:

Research, professional experience, and patient feedback support that manual therapy integrated with movement pattern re-education, corrective exercise instruction and cognitive-behavioral patient education provide the most effective interventions for patient outcome. At Fitness and Rehabilitation manual therapy is incorporated into the plan of care of all patients.

Our physical therapist will use manual therapy techniques to assess and treat musculoskeletal conditions. Your individualized plan of care may include progressive integrated neuromusculoskeletal inhibition/facilitation (PINMI/F), soft tissue mobilization, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), myofascial release, trigger point therapy, massage, joint and scar mobilization, muscle energy techniques, and proprioceptive feedback techniques. These approaches are designed to optimize muscle and joint function, improve blood flow, enhance breathing, and support parasympathetic nervous system activity.
