TIME TO REFLECT

Where are you now? Where do you want to go? How do you get there overcoming any obstacles you may face?

Why do you do the things you do?

What do you do when you hurt?

Pain causes muscles to tighten or go into spasm as a protective response. This muscle tightening reduces blood flow and limits normal movement, allowing waste products to build up in the tissues. These changes increase pain and trigger even more muscle spasm, trapping you in a pain–spasm vicious cycle.

Physical therapy uses a variety of therapeutic approaches to help break this cycle, restore healthy movement, and improve circulation—so you can regain your mobility, strength, and overall function.
